From the salty creeks of Mersea Island to the bustling aisles of Glee 2025, new pet lifestyle brand Salty Sea Dog is set to make waves with its debut appearance at this year’s show.
Founded by designer Isabelle Ditchburn, Salty Sea Dog is inspired by a coastal way of life where dogs, mud, tides and timeless design collide. Offering functional, durable and beautiful gear for dogs, the brand is already carving out a niche for pet lovers who appreciate thoughtful design with a rugged edge.
“I didn’t set out to create a dog brand, it happened naturally, shaped by my coastal upbringing and the dogs that have always been part of that life,” says Isabelle. “Salty Sea Dog is about simple, well-made kit that fits into the everyday rhythms of life outdoors.”
What makes Salty Sea Dog different?
Positioned between the overly cute and overly technical pet brands, Salty Sea Dog champions a utilitarian aesthetic with a soft, lived-in charm. Think hardwearing canvas collars, chambray bandanas, and rope leads inspired by sailing gear, all in a muted, coastal palette.
The brand’s ethos is grounded in sustainability and quality: no seasonal churn, no gimmick prints – just timeless pieces designed to last. Every product is designed in-house and made in small batches, with 1% of sales going to Dogs Trust. And when it comes to retail support, Salty Sea Dog offers clean, minimal plywood display units – free with opening orders – to help stockists showcase the range with style and ease.
Why Glee 2025?
“Glee felt like the perfect platform,” explains Isabelle. “It brings together people who understand the importance of story, presentation and lasting design. Garden centres are where I shop. They attract customers who love dogs and appreciate brands that feel considered.”
Buyers can explore the brand’s core navy range, discover new SS26 stripes and limited-edition prints, and get hands-on with Salty Sea Dog’s distinctive retail units which are designed to be dropped straight onto the shop floor with no fuss, no plastic, and no tangled mess.
What’s next for Salty Sea Dog?
For Isabelle, Glee is about more than just orders, it’s also about relationships. “We’re here to meet partners who see Salty Sea Dog as part of a wider story about lifestyle, quality and dogs that get properly muddy. This brand is personal, and this show is a chance to share it with people who get it.”
