FISKARS AND RHS SPRING INTO ACTION TO SUPPORT THE NATION’S BEES

Fiskars, one of the UK’s leading gardening tool suppliers, is teaming up with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for an innovative spring campaign designed to support the nation’s vital bee population and provide additional business building opportunity for trade retailers.

The ‘Gift for the Bees’ is a further extension of Fiskars’ well established 100% Happiness marketing campaign and will run from 1st March until 30th June 2021*. During these dates, consumers spending £50 or more on any Fiskars product in store can claim a ‘Happy Bee Box’ delivery to their home.

The box contains RHS expert information about the type of planting in the garden that will help attract and support bees as they pollinate plants. It also includes a high-quality Fiskars planting trowel, which is new for 2021, a packet of RHS seeds and an RHS planting guide offering expert advice on how to support bees and successfully grow pollinating plants.

The campaign is supported by eye-catching point of sale materials to help participating retailers promote in store, as well as provide an exciting consumer-focused offer that will once again help the trade as winter days turn to spring sunshine.

Planting happiness

The 100% Happiness campaign is based on the beneficial effects gardening can have on physical and mental wellbeing, and centres on promoting gardening as a welcome escape from busy, stressful lives, in addition to a way of helping people relax and find more happiness. This has proven to be more important than ever over the past year as consumers have had to spend more time at home due to impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Looking out for bees at the RHS Family Trails

The exciting bee theme is also planned to extend to Fiskars’ sponsorship of the popular Family Trails that will be available at two RHS shows during 2021 – events pending. The trails take families on a fun packed tour for all ages as they search for bees, plants, and other gardening attractions.

All being well, the Family Trails will be at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival taking place between the 5th and 11th July, and the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park between 21st and 25th July. Further details can be found at www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events.
